River’s End Retreat is nestled in the crook of the final bend of the Murray before it joins the Coorong and rolls out to sea. They enjoy uninterrupted views of the river and the Hindmarsh Island bridge.

In addition to the 5 spacious guest rooms (each with en-suite), all facilities are for guests’ exclusive use.

Their fully hosted facility is ideal for discerning small groups of up to 10 adults – whether a residential conference, group occasion or to attend a special event. They offer an immersive local experience – steeped in history and local environment. Trudy and Jamie are your knowledgeable and friendly hosts – she, the food maestro will keep you deliciously full and he will make sure you have as much, or as little to do as you wish!

Goolwa, the gateway to Stormboy country boasts birdlife, steam trains, paddle steamers, farmers markets, distiller/brewery and wines on the foreshore, and in every direction nearby. River and ocean activities abound…. or never leave the comfort of the large limestone walls and swim, bocce, read, recline… and relax.
