Bringing a fresh approach to the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu peninsula, Strathalbyn’s latest trendy food and coffee venue suits all. Hammer “N” Tongs, the historic Commonwealth Bank converted bistro/cafe boasts a rustic atmosphere providing a unique upmarket casual dining experience.

Embracing all the best of Strathalbyn, whilst also bringing a creative new twist, Hammer N Tongs features a variety of local produce, coffee and wine.

A sneak peek of the people-pleasing menu caters for all with a wide-range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Enjoy barista made coffee and tea, fresh juices, smoothies and milkshakes! Serving a mix of classics such as the egg and bacon bun, smashed avo (everyone’s fave), fish and chips, and a pork bahn mi. Also catering for the more adventurous food lovers, the menu also offers delicious dishes such as their popular wood oven lamb bowl, the chicken quesadilla and southern fried cauliflower.

Currently operating as a cafe, grand plans for the near future include tapas food and drinks, rustic beer garden (currently under construction), Italian commercial wood pizza oven and fire place – somewhere to enjoy all seasons in Strathalbyn with a capacity to eventually fit 190 customers.
